Sandy’s practice is focused on the establishment of Canadian investment vehicles, such as trust and partnership pooled funds, hedge funds and retail mutual funds. She regularly advises clients on the formation of these products and on the legal and regulatory implications associated with the offering and distribution of securities in Canada.
Prior to joining AUM Law, Sandy spent nearly 10 years as an associate in McMillan LLP’s Securities and Public Markets Group. In this role, Sandy was responsible for a variety of transactions with a focus on both public and private investment funds. She was very involved in various other securities transactions, including public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions. She also assisted registrants with general securities compliance, continuous disclosure requirements and corporate governance matters.
